About Me

Flowers have always been part of my world, from watching them grow in my childhood garden to becoming fascinated by the way nature can completely transform a space, tell a story, and evoke emotion.

My floral journey truly began in 2018, after the funeral of a loved one. A family friend, florist Fran Verhoef, created the flowers for the service, and I was deeply moved by how beautifully the arrangements captured the spirit of the person we had lost. It was comforting, emotional, and unexpectedly healing, and it sparked something in me that I couldn’t ignore.

Soon after, I trained with Fran in South London, making a four-hour daily commute while learning the foundations of floristry. I later moved into freelance floral work across events, TV, and film, where I developed a love for creative set design, immersive spaces, and storytelling through flowers and natural materials.

During COVID, I began creating floral cards, wreaths, and handmade pieces from my Mum’s house while continuing to work in the film industry. But over time, I realised floristry wasn’t just something I loved, it was what I truly wanted to build my life around.

In 2021, I moved onto my narrowboat, Decadence, and Bouquets on a Boat was born. While the name came from my early days selling bouquets along London’s waterways, the business has naturally evolved into something much broader and more creatively driven.

Today, I focus on weddings, events, editorial work, floral installations, dried flowers, and nature-inspired styling. Creating bespoke designs that feel organic, artistic, and full of character. I’m inspired by wild landscapes, seasonal textures, overgrown gardens, and the beauty found in imperfect natural forms.

Alongside floristry, I also love creating other handmade and botanical-inspired pieces, from candles and crafts to dried floral creations and styling details that bring warmth and atmosphere into a space.

Whether I’m designing large floral installations or smaller thoughtful details, my aim is always the same: to create work that feels expressive, immersive, and deeply connected to nature.

And yes, despite the hayfever, I still couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
