Christmas Wreath Workshops
Slow down, get festive, and make something beautiful with nature.
There's something rather lovely about making your own Christmas traditions — and this will be our third year of doing exactly that.
Join Bouquets on a Boat this November and December for a cosy evening of seasonal creativity in Hackney Wick, in a brand-new home for the workshop: a quiet, private studio space, just for us.
We'll spend a few hours surrounded by fragrant evergreens, moss, pine, conifer and natural textures, making our own beautiful Christmas wreaths, with a glass of something festive in hand.
Whether you come with friends, a partner, or simply fancy an evening of doing something creative on your own, this is a chance to step away from the Christmas rush for a little while and reconnect with something slower and more grounding.
No floristry experience needed. Just come ready to make, chat and enjoy.
What we'll do
We'll begin by getting to know the seasonal materials, and I'll guide you through creating your wreath from start to finish.
You'll work with a fresh moss base on a reusable wire ring, using a beautiful selection of seasonal greenery and natural decorations to create something completely your own.
I'll show you the techniques and share plenty of tips along the way, but there are no rules about how your wreath should look. Rustic, wild, traditional, whimsical or wonderfully wonky - make it yours.
And while we create, there'll be Prosecco, mulled wine and seasonal nibbles, good music, and plenty of time to chat.
A little something to take home
As well as your handmade Christmas wreath, you'll leave with a small Bouquets on a Boat seasonal goodie bag; a little collection of treats and botanical surprises to continue the experience at home.
Think of it as a small reminder to slow down, make space for yourself, and enjoy the season.

Create your own little landscape from flowers, grasses & natural materials.
What if you could create a tiny landscape to hang on your wall?
Join Bouquets on a Boat for a relaxed afternoon of making, exploring and getting creative with nature. Using dried flowers, grasses, threads and other natural materials, you'll create your own botanical landscape inside a hoop — inspired by meadows, woodlands, wild places or simply whatever catches your eye.
There won't be a set design to copy. Instead, you'll have a whole table of beautiful materials to explore and the freedom to create something completely your own.
Choose your hoop. Pick your colours and textures. Build your landscape layer by layer.
Perhaps yours will be wild and meadow-like. Perhaps it'll be minimal and sculptural. Perhaps you'll create something that reminds you of somewhere you love.
There are no rules. Just flowers, materials, ideas and a little time to see where they take you.
